Recovery week has begun!

Recovery month celebrates those who have overcome addiction, as well as those in active addiction. This month helps motivate those who are struggling to reach out for support, by sharing success stories, hosting events and posting motivational content.

We have many different activities going on this week for recovery month. Join us at the Falcon Centre from 10am-4pm for free food, information stands, poetry, football tournament, speak to the mental health team and so much more!

On Monday we had information stands from Gamcare, Help C testing, turning point, harm reduction, active Charnwood, homeless mental health team, warm homes, oral health, first contact plus, local area Coordinator and more. These stands provided useful information to those who joined us at the Falcon Centre. The public were able to grab some freebies, learn information about Falcon Support Services, as well as other charities and had the option to get tested if needed.

We enjoyed listening to live music, walking around all the information stands and getting involved in a game of rounders on Tuesday. From 10pm-4pm the public were able to get useful information, sit back and listen to music, make friends and get involved in games.

And that's not it! we have so many more activities coming up for recovery week that you can get involved in. If live music is not your thing we have a football tournament on Friday, success story sharing and more.

Mental health is incredibly important. Spending time outdoors with friends and family helps reduce stress levels and improve your overall mood.
