First Aid Training

Emergency first aid at work

This course focuses on emergency care and includes CPR, AED and other emergency first aid skills that will provide a person “first on a scene” with basic knowledge to provide lifesaving actions.

HSE accredited First Aid at Work qualification
Covers low-risk common accidents and emergencies in the workplace
Includes a certificate and a training manual to help learners practice their skills
1-day course

Basic life support

This course focuses on emergency care and includes CPR, AED which will provide a person with basic knowledge to provide lifesaving actions.

HSC accredited First aid at work qualification
Covers basic life support to buy some valuable time until emergency services attend
Includes a certificate and a training pack of materials to help learners practice their skills
3.5-hour course

First aid at work

This course focuses on emergency care and includes CPR, AED and other emergency first aid skills that will equip a first aider skills to confidently undertake emergency first aid if someone becomes ill or injured at work and provide effective care for a wide range of common workplace injuries and illnesses.

HSE accredited First Aid at Work qualification
Covers medium and higher risk and a wider range of accidents and emergencies which could happen in the workplace
Includes a certificate and a training manual to help learners practice their skills
3-day course

Paediatric first aid

This course is designed to meet Early Years and OFSTED first aid provision.

Includes CPR and AED skills for adult’s children and infants and a range of first aid skills and emergencies.

HSE accredited First aid at work qualification
Covers accidents and emergencies which could happen in the workplace that provides provision for children and infants
Includes a certificate and a training pack of materials to help learners practice their skills
Meets childcare registration requirements
2-day course

Annual Update

Annual refresher training is recommended

Requalification

Full requalification is recommended every 3 years

Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid England 2-day course

Mental Health First Aid England is an internationally recognised training course accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health, which teaches people how to spot the triggers, signs and symptoms of mental ill-health and provide help on a first aid basis including:

A deeper understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing, including your own
Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgmental listening
Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support

Nuco Mental Health First Aid

NUCO, provider of mental first aid with qualifications certified by the FAA and on the RQF register of regulated qualifications.

We can offer the following courses:

Level 1 Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health - 1/2-day course
Level 2 First Aid for Mental Health - 1-day course
Level 2 Youth Mental Health - 1-day course
Level 3 Supervising First Aid for Mental Health - 2-day course

Safeguarding

Level 1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding (RQF)

Ensure you understand current Safeguarding issues & apply correct actions where necessary.

Safeguarding legislation and guidance
Roles and responsibilities
Indicators of Abuse and neglect
Identifying concerns and disclosure
Making judgements
Reporting concerns

Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF)

This course goes further into safeguarding procedures and the ways in which you should tackle suspected abuse to safeguard children from future harm.
