Falcon Support Services launches Christmas Campaign

As the holiday season approaches, we’re thrilled to launch our annual festive campaign at Falcon Support Services - and this year, we need your help more than ever to make it a success. The campaign has already got off to a fantastic start with donations rolling in from various events taking place from Tropic pampers to collections from local networking and business groups as well as community shops and supermarkets. But we need your donation to make this a true success.
From 1st December, we’re aiming to provide three emergency beds for individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the festive period. Alongside this, we’ll be opening our doors to the most vulnerable and isolated members of our community through our Community Support Services - including a Community Christmas Lunch for those who might otherwise spend the day alone.
Your donation will help people like Lucy, who has been homeless in Charnwood for a number of months she first approached us when she was 8 months pregnant, she has been supported by our day centre and the Outreach Team during this time.
She was offered temporary accommodation alongside her partner but this was not successful and she returned to sleeping in a car until baby was born to which baby was then taken into care.
Lucy does not have a connection to Charnwood so options were limited with accommodation in the area.
Then in December 2024 Lucy was offered one of our Festive Beds and we worked with her to find longer term accommodation, she engaged well with her support worker, attending daily catch ups, addressing income and expenditure and substance misuse issues and Lucy was offered a room in another one of our services.
Lucy continued to engage well and was offered her own accommodation, where she could feel safe to raise her child.

To kick off our Festive Falcon Christmas campaign, a Tropic fundraiser which raised £118 - enough to sponsor one bed and £300 from Loughborough Ladies Freemasons included.
So far we have had an incredible start with £1500 of donations so far- that's 15 beds!
Businesses and individuals have been so generous. If you are out and about in the community, bring your spare change as we are looking forward to collections at Marks and Spencer every Thursday until Christmas. We will also be collecting at major supermarkets in Loughborough from Morrisons and Tescos and shops in the Love Loughborough programme.
