Falcon & BOAL Win VAL Charity and Business Partnership Award

Falcon & BOAL Win VAL Charity and Business Partnership Award

6 Oct 2025

Falcon Support Services and our valued Business Champion BOAL Extrusion UK are delighted to win an award at the Voluntary Action Awards (VAL) 2025.

BOAL Extrusion UK is a business champion who goes above and beyond to support the local homeless community. Their long-term partnership with our charity helped to win this prestigious award in the Charity and Business category.

In addition to supporting with a monthly donation, BOAL also donated supplies for Falcon Community Centre’s horticultural allotment and toiletries to help our Falcon Support Services residents.

They were up against some stiff competition. All of the finalists in this category would also have made worthy winners including Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VASL) and Market Harborough Building Society, Bodie Hodges and Juice Creative and ER Recruitment.

The event is sponsored by Hastings Direct and took place at the prestigious Grand Hotel in Leicester. The award was handed out at a glittering ceremony on Saturday 4 October. The award was sponsored by PPL and PRS and recognised the amazing work of so many deserving organisations and charities.

Falcon Support Services works tirelessly to help the homeless and those in need in Leicestershire find independence through housing, community and recovery support.

Head of Fundraising and Communications, Lee Hardy, whose work has been instrumental in the partnership, accepted the award on behalf of the charity and BOAL alongside Emma Swann, Managing Director of BOAL Extrusion.

Lee who is currently training to do the Great South Run with Emma, said:

“I am so proud that the partnership between BOAL Extrusion and Falcon Support Services received an award for Charity and Business Partnership at the VAL awards.

“BOAL have been a fantastic Business Champion and have not only made a regular financial contribution but also taken part in fundraising events, collections, volunteering and so much more.

“I am extremely grateful and thankful for all that Emma Swann and her team at Shepshed have done and the way in which they continue to support Falcon Support Services.

“We have 16 incredible Business Champions at Falcon and would also like to thank each one of you for working together and making a real difference.

“We cherish our partnership with BOAL, our incredible business champions.”

BOALs Managing Director said: “It’s great being a Falcon Business Champion, as well as being actively involved in fundraising, it has helped to promote staff wellbeing and engagement with our 150 staff across the company. Supporting the local community gives us a great sense of pride.”
