Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon

Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon

3 Jul 2025

The team takes on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in an attempt to complete the huge bucket list challenge in just 24 hours! Our Head of Fundraising, staff from Falcon Business Champion; Better-IT Limited, a volunteer and members of the Health and Wellbeing team headed out to take on the National 3 Peak Challenge.

We believe everyone should be given the opportunity to turn their lives around and reach independence. We support service users daily, providing them with Mental Health groups to get involved in, activities and group meetings. This challenge was to raise awareness and funds to support the homeless and those in need across Leicestershire. Last year Falcon provided over 25,000 meals, housed over 250 and had over 10,000 visits at our drop-in service.

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland, the United Kingdom, and the British Isles. The average time it takes to climb this mountain is around 7-8 hours! Although Ben Nevis is a formidable challenge the team charged on dedicated to bringing awareness of homelessness and the support offered by Falcon.

The second mountain the team climbed was Scafell Pike. Typically taking between 4-8 hours to do a round-trip Scafell Pike has an elevation of 978 meters above sea level, making it the highest mountain in England! Scafell Pike is one of the harder climbs, as it is a steep and technical ascent/descent.

Finally, the team took on Snowdon! Taking 6-8 hours to climb Snowdon is the Highest Mountain in Wales. Beautiful scenery, plants and wildlife to see and the clearest conditions out of the 3.

Thank you to everyone who supported the team as they took on this difficult, but rewarding challenge. A big thank you to everyone who came along to the National 3 Peaks! Although, exhausted everyone had a blast, raising awareness for Falcon Support Services.

A special mention to Mark Allen of Quorn Construction who gave up 3 days to drive the team.
