The festive season is a joyful time but for many people experiencing homelessness or isolation, its one of the hardest times of the year. We are asking people to support our campaign to Give The Gift of Home to those in need this holiday period. The money goes towards supporting festive beds, and a Christmas meal and present for everyone and we are looking for people to donate as much or as little as they can.
£25 will provide a present and a gift
£100 will provide a festive bed and full support
£300 will provide three beds and full support.
We have been impressed by the support from businesses, the community and individuals. You are making such a difference to peoples lives.
Among those who have already supported the campaign are:
These are just a few of the supporters, and we are also grateful to members of BNI, Screenpop and other groups who have shown the power of their community.
Falcon workers have also been out collecting in Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Morrisons stores in Loughborough and raising hundreds of pounds.
We will be at M&S again on Thursday, December 11 and Thursday, December 18 and at Morrisons on Tuesday, December 16 - so come down to see us.
We would also like to thank local community groups, including Swing Theatre and Beatz Charnwood for their donations as well as supporters from our BNI Community, Screenpop and our business champions.
Local pubs including The Three Nuns and Tap & Clapper in Loughborough and The Wheatsheaf Inn in Woodhouse Eaves. have also pledged their support.

Charities such as Falcon Support Services exist to provide shelter in a crisis as well as longer term housing solutions for those experiencing homelessness.
And that's what this year's Christmas campaign is all about.
£25 ensures a homeless person receives a Christmas meal and present, £100 ensures a homeless person has a festive bed and full support for a night, while £300 can provide all three available festive beds on a given night.
The festive season is a joyful time - but for many people experiencing homelessness or isolation, it's one of the hardest times of the year.
People like Lucy.
Lucy had been homeless in Charnwood for several months and was eight months pregnant when she first approached Falcon.
She was offered temporary accommodation alongside her partner, but this was not successful.
She returned to sleeping in a car until her baby was born and then taken into care.
Then in December 2024 Lucy was offered one of Falcon's festive beds and they worked with her to find longer term accommodation.
She engaged well with her support worker, attending daily catch ups, addressing income and expenditure and substance misuse issues and Lucy was offered a room in another one of Falcon's services.
Lucy continued to engage well and was offered her own accommodation, where she could feel safe to raise her child.

Rachel Hall, Falcon deputy CEO, said: “This is our ninth year of running this campaign putting on additional beds to get more people off the streets.
"With supported accommodation bed spaces having reduced nationally by 43 per cent since 2008 it is no surprise that rough sleeping has increased nationally by 164 per cent since 2010.
"Providing these emergency festive beds provides a ‘first foot in the door’ to engage with homeless services and rebuild their lives.”
"We want to ensure that they come in from the cold and that they have a safe, warm bed and a place to call home, if only for a night.
"Help us to give the gift of home this Christmas.
"Our target is £20,000 and we have already raised almost 50 per cent of that thanks to the generous support of individuals, businesses and community fundraising.
Marie Davis, CEO, added: "Whilst homelessness is an all year long challenge, it is particularly challenging in the winter months.
"We’d like to thank all the businesses and community members that have taken the time to support this campaign.”

As well as monetary donations, Falcon also welcomes the gift of time and donations of goods.
We are collecting shoe boxes with essential items inside such as deodorant, socks and chocolate and is asking community groups, churches and local schools to join in so everyone can have the experience of opening one this Christmas.
They are also encouraging people to take part in the ‘reverse advent calendar’ where you donate something each day instead of receiving a chocolate treat – all the donations go towards helping those in need.
There is also a Santa Paws event at The Drop In at Falcon Support Service, where people can join a festive dog walk and dress their dogs in Christmas jumpers on December 18.
