Moss Solicitors Becomes a Falcon Business Champion

Today, we’re thrilled to share the success story of one of our long-standing supporters, Moss Solicitors, who have recently been recognised as an official Business Champion. We headed to their offices to present them with a certificate to recognise their commitment and to officially mark a longstanding relationship which has developed into a pledge to support our charity monthly and help provide vital services for the homeless – giving them dignity and hope
Moss Solicitors has been a cornerstone of Loughborough’s legal community for generations. Known for building strong, long-lasting relationships with families and clients, the firm has consistently demonstrated commitment, professionalism, and community spirit. Their recognition as a Falcon Business Champion reflects this dedication and highlights the importance of local businesses supporting and giving back to their communities.

She shared her experience of achieving this milestone, which began with a connection to our Head of Fundraising Lee Hardy through BNI Loughborough over three years ago,. During that time she has been a great supporter of our charity. She said: “We’re proud to become a Business Champion. Generations of families have trusted our firm, and our team has built wonderful relationships with clients over the years.”
Helen’s journey into law started with her background in management and accountancy, giving her a unique perspective on both the business and legal worlds. This experience, combined with a genuine passion for service, positioned Moss Solicitors perfectly for the Business Champion programme. She added: “I was a member of BNI - where I met Lee Hardy the Business Support Champion. I used to go to the “Falcon Net” and support them and meet other like-minded business owners.
“So far, we have helped Falcon with a hamper at Christmas, an Easter collection and winter warm clothing collections as well as two quizzes - including a recent one at Halloween, where we raised £450, We are busy planning the next one too for Christmas and another themed quiz nights. We also support other charities – for instance we held a Macmillan coffee morning last week.
“We often see Falcon Service users all the time in and around Loughborough, so we thought this was a good charity to support. If you didn’t do all the wonderful things you do, there would be a lot more people on the streets. It is important for us to support a local charity and to get all our staff involved. During Covid, a lot of our staff worked from home so as we bring people back but by supporting a charity like Falcon Support Services, it feels like there is much more of a team spirit again.
Becoming a Business Champion isn’t just about recognition - it’s about active involvement in the community. Moss Solicitors have been instrumental in supporting local initiatives, including food collections for The Falcon Centre's drop-in and Minnie's Friends community kitchens, as well as Christmas charity drives and quiz nights. Their efforts embody the spirit of giving back, something we at Falcon Support Services are proud to support.
