The Falcon 24hr Challenge and Great Birmingham Run 10k

During April we were busy with our 24hr Challenge, where participants could sign up and complete 24hours of their favourite pastime.

We had supporters lego building, gaming, card reading, treadmill running, litter picking and even Kickboxing!

Our fundraisers absolutely smashed it raising in excess of £2000 across the month.

Loughborough based Pro Martial Arts School PMAS raised an incredible amount - almost £600 - whilst elsewhere The Jones Five, who also won a school award and had a write up in their local paper, raised over £800 by heading out into the community and litter picking as a family.

Regardless of the amount raised though its safe to say everyone had a great time and did a fantastic job raising awareness of all the hard work that Falcon does and the people whom we support.

#teamfalcon take to the streets

The sun was shining down on #teamfalcon as we set off on what was our first mass participation event of this type.

7 runners made up of staff, local businesses and friends toed the line on what was a challenging "lumpy" course that took in the best of Birmingham's popular sites.

As well has having a fantastic time, the team raised £1000. Much needed funds in these difficult times which will allow us to continue our vital work supporting those in most need.

Some of the team will now be going on to tackle the Great North Run in September, one of the biggest Half Marathons in the world - a challenge for sure.
