Recovery week 2022

This year, 2022 Falcon Support Services will once again be participating in International Recovery Month, by hosting Recovery Week in Loughborough week commencing 5th September. We have a range of activities run by multiple agencies and have worked together with Dear Albert, Turning Point and the Recovery Community to raise awareness of addiction and celebrate recovery.

In addition to hosting this week we will be launching a number of new services and initiatives that promote recovery and harm reduction including:

• Our Harm Reduction workers, delivered in partnership with Turning Point, to deliver Harm Reduction and Aftercare Recovery support across Leicestershire and Rutland. • Our Mentor and Employability programme, a Public Health funded project to increase the visibility of recovery and support social integration through preparation of returning to work. • Our Research project funded by Public Health to understand people’s experiences of treatment for addiction and recovery pathways. If you would like to share your experiences please contact sarah.whannell@falconsupportservices.org.uk

• Working closely with Exaireo and their Recovery Navigator, Jerome to deliver personalised one to one support and access to Treatment Houses and Group meetings. Jerome can be contacted on jeromec@exaireo.org

• A confidential Needle exchange service now operating from the Drop In, Falcon Centre, 27-31 Pinfold Gate, Loughborough during 9am – 4pm Monday – Friday.
