Local Businesses Back Frozen Falcon - March 2023

It seems like a long time ago already, but in March our Fundraising and Communications Manager took on a High Altitude Ascent of the highest point in the Atlas Mountains. 4,167m high Mt Toubkal is a great challenge for any aspiring mountaineer, especially when tackling it during winter and in deep snow.

With the support of local businesses that came together to sponsor our flag, spurring our team on, a successful summit was made.

It's the first time we have undertaken a challenge of this nature and Lee (our F&C manager) has laid down the gauntlet to our supporters to go out and attempt a similar challenge themselves.

"An expedition like this not only gives you the immersive experience of being away and experiencing a new culture, but also the physical challenge, the sense of achievement and a goal to work towards for the months ahead. All of which can really improve your overall health and wellbeing. I am still smiling now from having achieved this bucket list challenge"

Thanks to our sponsors and donations from members of the public we were able to raise over £3,000, which will go a long way during these challenging times to help us to continue our vital work.
