Festive Falcon 2022

From the 14th of November until 3 January we ran our annual Festive Falcon Campaign, setting out with an ambitious target to raise £20k in order to provide additional emergency beds, warm meals, presents and tackle social isolation.

Through community collection days, Christmas fairs, live music, jumper sales and a very successful online digital fundraising campaign we reached £18,500 with a pledge of a further £3,500 due to come to us shortly.

We also received record breaking numbers or food parcels, bags of warm clothing, gift bags and shoe boxes lovingly packed with presents.

Staff across the charity worked tirelessly over the Christmas period to cope with the increased demand due to the poor weather and difficult financial times, to make sure all of the service users got to enjoy a present and hot meal.

None of this would have been possible without the generosity of the members of public across Leicestershire, our fundraisers and our corporate partners who, despite unprecedented circumstances with the cost of living crisis, food, energy bills and business rates, have all been extremely supportive of this years campaign. A huge thank you to each and every one of them.

2023 - The next 3 Months

An exciting time heading into the year with more fundraising events and volunteer opportunities than ever before.

We currently have our 300k Step Challenge running, which has over 20 participants out there already getting their stomp on raising awareness of homelessness and isolation, poor metal health and recovery and raising vital funds that will support the charity over the coming months. In March we have our The Great 24hr Challenge, where regardless of what hobbies or interest you have you can challenge yourself to do 24 hours of it, whether as a team or alone, in one slice or across the month. We also have Lee (our Fundraising and Communications Manager) and Adie, both Army Veterans, taking on Frozen Falcon, a winter ascent of high altitude Mt Toubkal in Morocco. We have a number of other events happening beyond March, including The Great Birmingham Run, The Great North Run, and are currently planning this years Big Sleep Out, 2 Outdoor Music Festivals and a possible high octane challenge that will test the nerve and anyone who is afraid of heights!!
