On Saturday our dedicated volunteers were treated to a BBQ and Live Music at our allotment.
Our volunteers have made a significant impact to the charity over the past year - clocking up over 3,000 hours in just the last 3 months alone - an outstanding contribution.
Volunteers were presented with certificates of achievement acknowledging their hard work and commitment to improving the lives of others.
Also we revealed our new volunteer mugs which each volunteer will receive when taking up a volunteer role.
The event also capped off what had been an excellent Volunteer week - where volunteers, Heather, Tina, Mitchell and Alex, were out in force supporting 6 collections days at Waitrose Mountsorrel, Morrisons Maxwell and Morrisons Coalville.
As well as raising in excess of £600 towards the continued work of Falcon, the volunteers were able to share their own experience of volunteering at Falcon and how that can be extremely rewarding and beneficial.
Alex said; "I really enjoy volunteering for Falcon, not only does it give me a great sense of achievement but it also helps me with my own health and wellbeing".
Fundraising and Communications Manager Lee Said; "Our volunteers provide a great service to the charity and are selfless in dedicating themselves to help the lives of others. The BBQ organised by our Volunteer Co-ordinator Jacqueline Saxelby-Smith was a great success and a perfect way to thank them for all the hard work they have put in over the year"
A huge thank you to Roving Crows front man Jimothy and Business Champion Ian of Evolution for providing the excellent music at Saturdays Event.
