College Christmas Charity Shoebox Success

For yet another year students at Loughborough College have kindly contributed to our Christmas shoebox drive, donating a total of 88 boxes to be distributed to our service users across our projects.

Thank you to the public service and care service students for your brilliant efforts in making sure no one goes without a gift this Christmas.

Every year we give out these gifts to residents and drop in users across Leicestershire to support vulnerable individuals in our community over the Christmas period, it surely brings a smile to their faces.

Christmas is typically a time for joy and celebration, but it can often be a difficult time of year for those experiencing homelessness or in need of community support.

At Falcon we believe that you shouldn’t be lonely at Christmas (as the lyrics go in our Christmas song). Giving gifts like these, help reduce social isolation and bring festive cheer to our service users.

If you would like to be involved in our Christmas shoebox drive, simply put together some essential items along with something fun in a shoe box, wrap it up with some festive paper, and drop it off to us at our offices 53 Queen's Rd, Loughborough LE11 1HA Monday- Friday 9-5pm.

We house 100 people across our accommodations and support numerous individuals throughout our drop-ins, so we welcome any groups to donate to our shoebox appeal to help us deliver gifts this Christmas.

Good items to include are; clothing, winter hat, gloves, socks, toiletries, playing cards, chocolates or sweets, etc. We can’t accept items such as sharps, alcohol, matches, aerosols etc so please don’t include these.
