Falcon Support Services are marking World Homeless Day on the 10th October with the launch of their new project ‘Breaking the Cycle of Poverty’, thanks to an award from People’s Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. This project will support those living in extreme poverty by reaching out to people living on the streets by providing a hot breakfast to rough sleepers.

Starting on the 10th October, every Wednesday 6.30am the Drop In at the Falcon Centre will provide an early morning breakfast to rough sleepers and every Tuesday at 6.30pm we will provide an evening soup kitchen.

We are delighted to have the support from Thermo Fisher Scientific who have kindly partnered with Falcon Support Services to help provide the soup kitchen in this new service. Paul Morgan, Site Lead at Thermo Fisher Loughborough adds, “We have a long standing, close association with the local community and are delighted to partner with the Falcon Centre in this way.  Making a positive difference to people’s lives is at the heart of all that Thermo Fisher Scientific does – we are honoured to be part of this initiative supporting vulnerable individuals”.

We would like to recognise and thank those that play the People’s Postcode Lottery, as without them this project would not have been possible. To find out more about the trust please visit: www.postcodetrust.org.uk
