As the Country goes back into lockdown we will remain open to support the most vulnerable during the Pandemic.

People in the community rely on us and we will continue trying our best to assist them to access and maintain accommodation, prevent homelessness and relieve poverty.

What Community Services are open?

  • Our Drop In service is open for increased hours with one in at a time and takeaway food and drinks, priority given to rough sleepers. Opening times are as follows:

Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (closed 1.30pm - 2.30pm)

Saturday 10am - 12pm

Sunday 10am - 12pm (dependent on volunteers)

  • The Annex, our specialist sex workers service is open with one in at a time and takeaway food and drinks.

To ensure the safety of everyone we are reducing the amount of people accessing the service to one at a time and ask that those entering our buildings use the provided hand sanitiser, have their temperature checked and wear a face covering. Face coverings can be provided if required and if exempt from wearing face coverings we can provide a face shield where appropriate.

  • All our Supported Accommodation Projects are open and remain fully staffed, supported and operational.

How Covid-19 is affecting the charity?

No one knows the implications Covid-19 will have on the homeless sector long term. Changes will certainly be required to reduce future outbreaks and minimise risk.

We have seen a 56% increase in referrals for accommodation since COVID started and unfortunately we anticipate increasing need over the next 6 months.

The ongoing financial costs of COVID and costs of additional cleaning continue to add pressure to the charity, so any support you or your business can provide to our Emergency COVID-19 Appeal during the pandemic would be much appreciated.

We'd like to finish by taking some time to thank the great front-line team, staff and volunteers for the dedication and commitment they have shown towards helping the homeless and vulnerable in the community during these challenging times. They are turning up every day to provide vital frontline services, keeping everyone safe and we are very proud of them.

We hope you all stay well and keep safe.
