Chris moved into our emergency accommodation after becoming homeless and it was clear after only a short time, that he was very independent and required little support. Due to this his housing application was submitted soon after moving in with his nomination letter. We worked with Chris to help address previous debts and better manage his money. He found himself in service charge arrears after changing his benefits and was unable to catch up, so we assisted him in accessing funding which was awarded and cleared most of Chris’s arrears.


Chris was offered his own accommodation after 4 months and we helped him furnish his property to make it a home. Chris was also referred for ongoing tenancy support to help him settle into and sustain his own accommodation.
